In his words

Even before I finished grade school, I had a guitar. My friends and I played those old guitars till our fingers bled. I received my first award for writing about that same time, and then in the following year I received my first award for Art.

Those endearing middle school years, a friend and I started a band, “The Fluorescent Rainbow."  Received my first music award playing with "Up with People" a large cast with a band.  I played 12 string and lead guitar. We made three albums in those years. Despite all, I found time to give Guitar lessons. By the end of middle school, I played with six or seven different bands. We played the final dance of the school year with the last band. It was a fitting way to leave.

I took a little trip to Nashville the summer after high school graduation, but not much accomplished there unless you count chasing girls.  However, I managed to talk to a few, a very few industry leaders in the Nashville sound. My wife and I married a year after that and are still together.  I tried my hand at other things such as drafting, which I found hard to stay interested when I loved the arts so much. Like many native Texan musicians, I guess you could say I cut my teeth on the guitar neck.
My mother played a little guitar and had a fine hand for art. Her cousin had a band that played around McKinney, Texas.  She also had a radio show at one time. My father played a little piano and could sing some. His parents were published poets.  Many a night, at home as a kid there was live music well into the night, and, from there to electrical and mechanical engineer. I was always writing, painting and of course making music.

I decided it was time to get back to the band. So I hooked up with a little Texas C & W band called "Blue Northern." The lead singer sounded like Willie Nelson and we had some good times. Our best gig was the "White Elephant" at the stockyards in Fort Worth. You can't get much more country than that. I left the band after about a year. My wife and I travelled some when we could. We fell in love with Vancouver B.C. visited a couple of time. I enjoyed the beaches in Cancun one summer trip.  But I think it was the trip to Jamaica that we had the time of our lives. The music, art and writing were very influenced by the travels.

All my work was about to take over the house and I published a few things, lyrics and poems. Some made print in books, and in magazines. I had a dozen accolades and was published overseas, also got included in the Hall of Fame at “World of Poetry." Later, Publish America took a series of my Mystic books, and published, "Mystic Poems, Mystic Navigation, and the best "Mystic Realms."  My first two books included my illustrations.

I continued writing...
